Thinking about leaving Houston, Texas this summer for an exotic vacation destination? But what about your dog? Look no further than Magnolia, Texas’ own Circle K-9, the best dog boarding the Houston area has to offer.
Here at Circle K-9, we know that doggies have special needs during the summer months. When you trust your canine with our dog training/boarding company, you can rest assured that he or she will have just as much summer fun as you will wherever your travels take you.
Whether your dog is enjoying the summer with us at our Houston dog boarding facility or enjoying the summer with you, remember these tips to make your dog’s experiences safe and fun.
First, protect your pooch’s paws. We all know Houston, Texas summers can be hot, but because we wear shoes, it’s easy for us to forget how hot the pavement can feel to our dogs. Be sure to test the pavement with a bare foot or hand, and remember: if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog.
Next, make sure your dog gets some time to rest in the shade. Many Houston, Texas pet boarding facilities offer room for your pet to roam, but sometimes pets can become overheated. Here at Circle K-9, we are vigilant about keeping our boarders cool and hydrated. When you play with your pooch this summer, make sure you do the same!
Finally, keep your dog safe while travelling. Summer is a great month for road trips that can take you outside of Spring, Texas, Magnolia, Texas or wherever you are in the Houston area. Just make sure you never leave your dog alone in your car, even in when parked in the shade. Sadly, many dogs die from dehydration and heat exposure each year. Luckily, these deaths are
completely preventable with the proper attention. At our Houston, Texas dog boarding facility, we promise that your dog will have access to fresh, clean water at all times. Do your part to keep your dog safe this summer.
