You love your pet and you would never do anything to put your pet in harm’s way. After all, dogs are just an extension of our families. But because they’re so important to us, it’s pertinent to keep them healthy. The best way to do this is through regular checkups and vaccinations.
It may seem silly at first – the thought of taking your dog for checkups and vaccinations – but it’s very important. It’s so important, in fact, that many veterinary offices are actually offering wellness plans. These plans provide your pet with the most recent vaccinations and boosters as well as screenings to make sure they are healthy. For the same reasons that you and your children need regular checkups, so do our pets.
During regular check ups, your dog will be throughly examined for any internal or external conditions, including coat and skin condition, weight management, and checking for parasites. The veterinarian will test your pet’s blood and feces as well to make sure they are in tip top shape.
While they’re there, your pet will be provided with all of their updated vaccinations. This means that they will receive an annual rabies booster, a biannual Bordetella booster, and that their Parvo and DHLP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptosporosis, Parainfluenza) shots are up to date. It’s also recommended to give your pet the annual flu shot as well.
Because these vaccines are so important for the health of your dog and others, we require vaccination for boarding. This will keep your pet safe and protect the other animals while they are enjoying their stay at Circle K9. It’s also important that your pet receive the vaccination for boarding at least 7 days prior to arrival. Like many vaccines, they are not effective immediately, so dogs who arrive before the 5 day period will spend some of their stay in quarantine for at least 72 hours, and that’s just no fun!
We want your dog to enjoy their stay at Circle K9. We have so much to offer at our beautiful Magnolia, Texas location. Between our gorgeous location and our top of the line facilities, we truly offer the best training and boarding around. It is our compassion and attention to detail that sets us ahead of the rest. And these same attributes are why we require vaccination for boarding. We care about our guests and want nothing but the best for them.
When you schedule your pet’s stay, please provide documentation of vaccination for boarding. If you have questions regarding vaccinations or need assistance with any information, please contact us at your convenience or call (281) 259-3564.
